TRANSCRIPT EXCERPT — 07:44:18 AWST
“…okay so we’re standing at the top of the east stair now, this is plus six-five, and you can see the two three-fifty UBs either side — that’s where the platform goes — yeah that’s right, it’ll span between those two columns, six by four, and then from here — I need to check the column schedule but they look like they’re part of the original building steelwork — yeah I don’t have the drawings on me today, Stuart would have them — okay we’ll call that a hold, I need the original structurals before we can do anything with the base plate, and then from the platform edge here you can see the walkway route going east, and that’s the pipe bundle about twelve metres out — yeah those are the slurry lines — right, and we’ve got what, four hundred mil clearance above the top pipe to that overhead angle — maybe four-fifty — tight, we’ll need a step-over detail there, code compliant, handrailing all the way through…”
This excerpt is approximately 50 seconds of captured field conversation. The full 39-minute session is indexed and searchable.
Site walkthrough conducted at Brockman 4 Mine, Secondary Crusher Building Area 3, Tom Price WA, on 22 May 2026. The purpose of the visit was to capture the full design scope for a new access platform, suspended walkway, perimeter handrailing, and monorail runway beam at the plus 6500 level of the secondary crusher building. CADDS Group site rep C. Morrison attended with Rio Tinto Maintenance Superintendent S. Patterson. Three areas were walked: the proposed platform zone between existing 350UB columns on the north face, the full walkway route east to the existing Crusher 2 platform including the slurry pipe bundle obstruction at approximately 12 metres, and the plus 6500 landing area near the existing stair where the damaged grating panel and proposed monorail extent are located. The overhead crane was operational throughout; Crusher 3 was in live service. Audio and observations were recorded continuously from arrival at the Area 3 access point. Existing structural drawings were not available on site — this is captured as a design hold.
3 photos captured in total. All photos timestamped. Site was live plant — photography limited to safe access zones only.
